HULA FOR JAPAN WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!! I’ll definitely get around to talking about it more, but for now I’ll just say thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen and who supported by coming to the event, eating food, and donating. So far we’ve raised ¥71,639 (that’s nearly $900) from donation boxes alone! And that’s not yet counting the 10% of food proceeds that Moon Terrace is still calculating, donations from the dancers, and other impending donations that people told me are coming in. I’m amazed… still can’t believe it. Also can’t wait to figure out the final number and send the money to Japan Red Cross Society. Will update you on it soon! Congratulations and otsukaresama deshita to the dancers on a wonderful show… everyone I talked to loved it. I’m so proud of you all. More acknowledgments, thank yous, celebrations, blog postings and pics to come!
As much as I’m sad that the experience is over, I’m not gonna lie… I’m happy to finally have time to focus on other things. Only a month more in Japan, so a lot of those things are moving-related. Just hope there’s enough time to hang out with all my friends in Okinawa and enjoy these islands to the fullest before I leave on August 3rd!
And besides a long overdue reunion with family and friends in Hawaii to look forward to, one of my best friends ever is getting married there on August 6th. I’m overjoyed that it worked out for me to make it just in time, and I can’t wait to be her Co-Maid of Honor! Cereally, SO many things to look forward to.
Now, will you help me pick out the perfect dark nude patent peep toe pumps (wow, that was a lot of footwear jargon to throw into one sentence) to wear with this light green maid of honor dress from J. Crew?
Found these Delicious shoes on Amazon for a steal of $25. Thinking about them, though I’m unsure about whether the color will match my skin tone and which size will fit best. Thoughts?
